Rising up through the sludgy depths of Vancouver’s Psych Rock scene, is Dopey’s Robe. With a sound defined by that hometown dirt and grime but shaped by their own filthy hands into a distinct, dark and pulsing creature; it is impossible not to be possessed by once you hear them play. Touring and performing with luminaries like Ty Segall and Kikagaku Moyo has only brought Dopey’s closer to their ultimate goal: bringing the world under the Robe.
Victoria, BC art-pop quintet Bridal Party have always had the goal of making pop music they like. Their debut LP Too Much is a vibrant collection of songs of uncanny intimacy, thriving from experimentation in studio that remains honest to the band’s live set.
